LANSDALE—February’s work session meeting was held at the North Penn School District Educational Center on Tuesday, February 11th. At this meeting, the NPSD Comprehensive Plan for 2025-28 and alternate bids for phase one of the high school renovation project were presented to the board.

The new Comprehensive Plan was presented by Dr. D’Ana Waters, Dr. Pam Hart, Dr. Pete Nicholson, Dr. Mike McKenna, Dr. Allison Kuchler, and Dr. Melissa Bolden, but it is being worked on by a committee made up of people within the district, from students to the Assistant Superintendent, all of whom provide a different perspective on what is needed within the scope of the next few years. To make up the plan, they are using information from various surveys and sources of data such as the Hanover survey, which help identify topics that need improvement or should be sustained within the district.

While the slideshow presented covered many of the committee’s goals they hope to accomplish, North Penn’s guiding principles are always a focus. This presentation was to highlight the feedback that came from the initial planning process that took place over the past three months.

All information regarding the 2025-2028 Comprehensive Plan, including the collected and target metrics, will be posted to the community for 28 days and then recommended to the Board for approval at a later date.

At the end of Dr. Todd Bauer’s Superintendent Report, he recommended the approval of issuing the notice of intent to award bids for phase 1 of the North Penn High School construction/renovation project.
