Recently at North Penn High School student safety has been the central focus among administrators. With the successful implementation of Halo Smart Sensors in bathrooms to prevent in-school vaping, NPHS has decided, “why stop there!” New sensors have been installed throughout the halls of the school, SM Sensors!
SM Sensors (SM standing for Student Medling) are the next best thing to happen to North Penn High School! The sensors can detect a plethora of student activities from slow walkers to egregiously passionate couples!
Here’s how the devices work. As soon as the bell for Knight Time rings the robot-like sensors start their roaming of the halls. The SM Sensor uses facial recognition of every student they see to take a look at their infinite campus schedule for the day. Students who are walking as if Mr. Manero’s announcements didn’t end three minutes ago, will receive a not so gentle shove towards the class they are supposed to be in. If the sensors detect frequent hallway stragglers they will be shoved into their respective home offices to be reprimanded.
Not only will the sensors detect slow walkers, they can detect those mushy couples who believe that their relationship should be on display for all of the high school to witness. You heard it here! PDA is a thing of the past with North Penn’s SM Sensors. The sensors themselves, while making their sweeps of the halls, will forcibly run into students who are clearly not leaving enough room for Jesus in their daily hug/make-out session before dropping their loved one at class.
Are you tired of random groups of teenage boys hoarding around your classroom door as soon as the bell rings for absolutely no reason other than to be loud and annoying? SM Sensors are here to fix that too! Groups randomly stopping in the hallway to talk for more than fifteen seconds will be met with a blaring alarm sound.
The sensors are to also be placed within the cafeteria. Lunch line skippers will be pulled all the way to the back of the line and any juniors or sophomores sitting in the senior cafe will be moved away to the main cafe.
In support of more student reprimanding, the sensors will also accompany the famous Mr. Gillespie with his own personal theme song as he goes from class to class to present students with the lovely detentions they look forward to every day!
Teachers are not exempt from reprimanding as well. The sensors are also programmed to detect any teacher who is attempting to leave the building before their scheduled time of 2:45!
North Penn High School’s SM Sensors are the best way to keep our school safe and orderly. The future truly depends on it!
“We’re getting back to business here at North Penn High School, and I love it! No more nonsense – let’s gooo!!!” a teacher who wishes to remain anonymous said.
