Ashli Lao: Treasurer

Why are you running for this position?

“This position is the perfect role for me, as I love to be involved and help in the behind the scenes work of planning and organizing activities. I strive to contribute my ideas and leadership skills, not only to the class cabinet but also to our community in order to make meaningful improvements to events and life at North Penn.”

What qualities do you have that make you the best candidate?

“A few essential qualities that I show in every aspect of my life are dedication, organization, and time management. The Treasurer position comes with many responsibilities that require someone who knows how to effectively balance academics and extracurriculars. As the previous Treasurer of the Pennbrook National Junior Honors Society, I have prior knowledge of this position’s importance and guarantee that I will get things done.” 

What is one main goal you have for the 2020-2021 school year?

“This year is obviously very different from any other, and after being home for almost eight months, students are eager to get involved. My main goal is to ensure that the sophomores have an exciting school year, regardless of our circumstances. This means utilizing creativity and problem-solving skills to organize activities that are fun yet safe so that we don’t miss out on the North Penn High School experience.”
