How to Survive High School
High school is a stressful time for most people as there are more responsibilities and demand. No one in high school can deny that the amount of responsibilities in high school is much higher than middle school. Being in high school is hard as people try to figure out what they want to do after high school, who they are, and many other things. Here are some of my tips to help you survive high school.
Use your time wisely:
High school is challenging because the work is so demanding. So how do you manage time wisely? If you have a study hall, free time in classes, or extra time waiting for your teacher to come into the classroom, use this time wisely by finishing homework or studying for a test that you might have in the future. If you have a project or paper, use this time to research what you want to talk about. Using your time wisely can lead to less stress.
Joining Clubs:
Just like how New York City is called ‘’the city that never sleeps,” North Penn High School might as well be coined “the school that never sleeps” with a multitude of events happening everyday even on the weekend. Joining clubs can help you meet new people that have the same interests as you. According to the North Penn’s Activity Book, the high school offers more than 75 clubs with new clubs being added every year. The high school has clubs ranging from cultural clubs to volunteering, so be sure to join them for fun and meet new people.
Taking Classes That Interests You:
Everyone knows that at North Penn, we are required to take math, English, science, history, and gym. While these classes are required, there are many electives that you can take according to your interests. The high school offers classes in every department like theatre arts, ceramics, and many other subjects. There so many classes to take at the high school so take advantage of them!
