TOWAMENCIN – Seven lady Knights walked their way onto stage in the NPHS auditorium on Thursday morning in one final attempt to introduce themselves to those who will decide their fate for Homecoming Queen. Here’s a look at who they are:

 

 

 

 

Aarti Boghara

What activities are you involved in at North Penn?

She is involved in Link Crew, ICA, Class Cabinet, Track and field, and played basketball her junior year.

What does being in the homecoming court mean to you?

For Aarti being on the court feels weird but it’s really comforting to know she has supportive friends.

Interesting fact-

She loves to travel over the summer and has been to over 12 countries

 

Carina Calvaresi

What activities are you involved in at North Penn?

She has been a member of the Chorus, Women’s Choir and Chamber Singers for the past 3 years. This school year, she is the Treasurer for the Chorus and the career study student for Mr. Klenk.

What does being in the homecoming court mean to you?

Carina says “It’s cool! There’s a lot of beautiful people (including some good friends) on court so it’s awesome to be surrounded by such good vibes,”

Interesting fact-

She will never get tired of watching the office.

 

Olivia Follis

What activities are you involved in at North Penn?

She is the secretary of salsa club, president of spanish national honor society, link leader, class cabinet, girls soccer, and goodwill ambassadors.

What does being in the homecoming court mean to you?

“Finding out that I was on the court came as a big shock to me. It never occurred to me that people would vote for me; it is a really odd feeling, but the experience so far has been extremely humbling. Homecoming is a microcosm of the school. There are people on the court from all different social groups, with all different talents, who are all just amazing. To be able to represent a few aspects of what this school embodies and represents in its population is very cool and I am so grateful that I am able to participate in the whole event. Homecoming really brings out the school spirit in everyone and that’s what it’s really all about,”

Interesting fact-

“When I was 6, my mom had a job as a traveling nurse so my family and I lived in San Diego California for 4 months. I went to seaworld like everyday, and also I can wiggle my ears’”

 

Kelly Macnamara

What activities are you involved in at North Penn?

She has played football, lacrosse and winter track for 3 years at the highschool, and have been involved in key club, FBLA, and have been an officer for ski and board for 2 years,”

What does being in the homecoming court mean to you?

“I think that homecoming in general is just a fun thing for the senior class to do and participate in, and being in the court is really cool because I’m in it with a lot of my friends and it is just something that we can do together and we are excited for the spirit days and everything that this week has for us!”

Interesting fact-

She loves outdoor activities like hiking, paddle and knee boarding, and plans to go ski diving in the near future,”

 

Mia Melchior

What activities are you involved in at North Penn?

She played on the varsity basketball team for the past 3 years, but this year she decided to try new activities so she joined clubs like NPTV and ultimate frisbee.

What does being in the homecoming court mean to you?

“It’s pretty cool! Everyone on the court this year is super nice so I’m just really excited to be around a bunch of great people all week and be able to make some memories,”

Interesting fact-

Her favorite ice cream flavor is Cotton Candy from Freddy Hill farms!

Bri O’Donnell

What activities are you involved in at North Penn?

She is apart of girls lacrosse, and girls field hockey, and she is involved in the happyness and table tennis club.

What does being in the homecoming court mean to you?

“It was an honor to be selected for homecoming court and I love being involved with how much spirit this school has! It is such a fun event and i’ve had the opportunity to talk to people i didn’t know before and it really brings our big school together. It should be a really fun friday night!”

 

Interesting fact-

She is one of five girl siblings and loves every second of it. She loves coming from a big loving family, there is always something to do or someone to talk to, and to live with her 4 best friends everyday.

 

Maddy Oxenreiter

What activities are you involved in at North Penn?

She is  president of the Thespian troupe,  assistant to the directors for 1776,  an active anchor for North Penn television and I’m on the varsity cheer team.

What does being in the homecoming court mean to you?

“Being on homecoming court means the absolute world to me, I’m honestly so shocked and honored at the same time. I’m so proud to be representing the cheer team, NPTV, Theatre and Thespians all while being on the court, and it really makes me proud of how far I’ve come in doing all the activities that I’ve done. Standing up there with the backing of all of the organizations I’m proudly involved in feels like I’m standing for them, which is pretty awesome!”

Interesting fact-

When she was younger she used to play Pokémon cards and actually won the regional championship in 4th grade! She still has the medal to prove it!
