Whom does North Penn favor for the next president? Vote and find out!
In honor of its long-held tradition, North Penn High School will be holding a mock election on Friday, November 2nd. This year, students can cast their votes electronically; stop by the computer lab D9 on mock election day during all lunch periods. Students should have their school IDs in order to vote.
Students who wish to vote must register to vote by October 31. Click here to register.
To stimulate campaigning and campaign donations, students are welcome to make signs to hang around the school hallway supporting either candidate.
Submit the signs along with 5 cans of nonperishable food to Mr. Haley in Room D12. The number of signs and canned goods to each candidate will be logged to see which candidate raised more “money.”
“ [We’re] trying to stimulate the importance of money in election,” explained Haley.
All the canned goods will be donated to Manna on Main Street, a local soup kitchen in Lansdale.
For more information regarding the mock election, ask your social studies teacher or Mr. Haley at D12.
