After various events of wondering who walks around in the inflatable Knight mascot, it has been revealed to us after an anonymous student walked in on the group getting ready to show out just before the homecoming pep rally. The student has kept silent for so long, but as the 4th marking period arrives, they felt it was time to reveal the Knight.
At first, it was a common assumption that perhaps it was a student from one of the numerous clubs, or even maybe one of the various teachers in the school. However, the news broke to share that it wasn’t either of those.
North Penn’s beloved janitor, Gino Santoro, stunned all with his revelation of his new duties at the high school after his retirement last summer.
“I didn’t think it would ever come out that I was the Knight, but here we are,” Santoro explained.
Now that the news has spread, Santoro must relinquish his allegiance to the Knight costume.
“I had a good time getting to be the Knight, but I’m excited to not have that pressure on me anymore,” Santoro said, “Best of luck to whoever fills my place in that suit.”
As Gino will finally enjoy his full retirement, we are left wondering if the next suitor will live up to the expectations, he graciously gave us.
Auditions for the next Knight have not been revealed yet as they are confidential, all we can say is break a leg!
