Knight Crier in the troubling 1990s, ready to be read again on our very own archive!

TOWAMENCIN: The Knight Crier’s 71st anniversary is fast approaching, and ever since its creation in 1954, countless volumes and issues have been released. Many stories written, opinions expressed and jokes made by generations of writers all sharing one common activity, writing for the Knight Crier.

This week, our staff began an ambitious project of ‘rewiring’ all print issues dating back to 1952, putting our newspaper’s history at your fingertips. Spanning decades of stories, the archive will be an invaluable historical resource for the North Penn community, bringing back memories and sharing old articles that capture significant political, cultural and social events of their time that one might find in history books.

The digital archive is organized by decade, with planned consistent expansions and additions, being designed to be easily accessible from every device, allowing users to read clear, high quality imagery, making it feel as if you’re holding the issue in your hand. The archive can be accessed by going to https://www.knightcrier.org/archive/.

Thank you for your continued support of the Knight Crier throughout the decades! If you have any old issues in your possession that you would like us to archive, please email [email protected].
