After setting your phone down with your alarm set, you drift off to sleep on a Sunday night, dreading school the next day. You wake up to your alarm just in time and get dressed for the day. You get into your car at 7:35, and the next thing you know, it’s 8:00, and you haven’t even made it to your parking spot yet. The one thing that makes you late for school every day is the traffic in the North Penn Parking lot.
Traffic can be a huge hassle in the morning and is one of the main reasons many students are late to first period at the high school.
Instead of waking up early or skipping out on certain things in your routine, this article will prove as a way to cheat the traffic of the early morning rush and get to school right on time.
If you’re a student commuting from the Lansdale area Main Street and Valley Forge Road are two of the most backed-up streets in the early mornings before school. The main entrance becomes extremely backed up due to the traffic, so instead of taking Valley Forge take Welsh Road until you stop at the light where the Mennonite Church sits. Make a left turn and follow the rest of the way down, then make a left onto Snyder Road.
Taking this route rather than Valley Forge allows for a faster and much safer way to get into the parking lot via the back entrance rather than the main entrance. The back entrance has much less traffic and is a school zone as well so your safety is a little more guaranteed when taking this route.
For those who are commuting from the Kulpsville area Valley Forge is also definitely not your best bet but there are a few different routes that can be taken.
If you follow Sumneytown Pike up until you get to the Freddy Hill you can make a left at that light and turn onto Troxel Road. From there follow the road up until Snyder Road and just like that you’re in the back entrance rather than the main entrance.
You can also follow Forty Foot Road down for about 3 lights until you come to Quarry Road. Making a right onto Quarry Road allows for a quick shortcut that lets you skip some of the other traffic that is coming from the Freddy Hill route. It instead helps you get a little closer to the road that takes you to the back entrance.
If you decide on taking the listed routes your daily routine will not be affected and your commute to school will be safer, filled with less stress, and most importantly faster.
