Walking down the hall, you see someone drop their school ID. You want to pick it up for them, knowing if that were you, you would be upset. After running down the hall, calling their name, and going opposite your class, you catch up to him, tap them on the shoulder, and tell them they dropped their card. Without hesitation, they took the card without words and kept walking. This to someone on their regular daily routine may not bother them. But this to someone on their journey to happiness may frustrate them and make them fall behind.
Coming to find true happiness means everything. We all strive to become our best selves and our happiest selves. It’s time to find inner peace. This very personal task can be interrupted by others and their negativity.
That is a true story. This caused me feelings of stress, irritability, and anger. I’m just trying to do a good deed; someone can’t even say thank you.
Another common misfortune that happens in most teenagers’ lives is tough teachers. Getting worse grades can greatly affect our mental health, causing us not to be happy and at peace. Deteriorating grades cause more stress, less time to go out, and anxiety. Peace and anxiety are opposites; you cannot complete yourself without fixing what is broken.
But staying unbothered is the key to becoming your highest and best self. During these times of crisis, our thoughts get the best of us. Instead of getting mad and yelling, tell someone close to you that you need a minute, go to the bathroom, and cool off.
This can also help at work if customers are being rude and you feel overwhelmed. Breathing that’s all anyone can do, really. Along with this, meditation can also help clear one’s mind. It can be complex, but it can also be as simple as just closing your eyes, listening to crickets, and clearing your brain of all the day’s thoughts.
I have experienced times when walking away is inappropriate. So what now? I have decided to become accepting. If you accept what is happening around you and try not to change it, it makes arguments, tough decisions, and misfortunes way easier on your part. It gives you time to process, so no quick actions interfere with and worsen the issue.
Not only is there personal ways to help, theres also professional ways to help. If you feel your mind racing, maybe try reaching out to a therapist. A lot of the time, just talking out/ through your emotions solves everything.
Another resource that could help is prescribed prescriptions to help with anxiety and depression. These can only be given to you by a professional psychiatrist and are only needed if all else fails.
Sometimes, we try hard to improve and fall back to square one. But that’s okay! It’s not an easy journey. What you have to do now is regroup. Remind yourself of why you are doing this journey. Whether it is to get happier and more peaceful for yourself, your boyfriend, or your friends, it is good to keep that in the back of your mind to keep pushing you forward. Remember that these feelings will go just as they have come and are temporary.
Go talk to your friends and have a day out to distract yourself for a short time. Not too long, or this behavior may become harmful as well. Having fun is a great way to relieve stress and forget.
In contrast, finding something that you love to do helps relax you and gives you time to be on your own and with your thoughts. Being able to sort out your brain gives you a nice reset to help reorganize your priorities and get back on track with this task.
However, you may cope, regroup, or ground yourself, do not let anyone destroy your hard work. Reach out for help if needed, and be strong. Bottom line: It is necessary to be happy in life, do not let anyone ruin that.

Thank you for sharing this, Raquel. Such and important message. It took me a long time to understand how important mindfulness and time to one’s self is. The best things for me are music, reading, and cleaning up / sorting things!
