Senior Spotlight: Lauren Kotulka

Future Plans:

“I will attend the University of Pittsburgh to major in Spanish and minor in biology on a pre-med track.”

Favorite NPHS Memory:

“Playing tennis and becoming close with my teammates. Winter ball was fun too.”

Favorite Classes:

“I liked most of my classes, but I really enjoyed Graphic Design with Mrs. Crawford, AP English with Mrs. Kratz, and Multicultural Voices with Ms. Tinsley.”

Favorite Teachers:

“I have a lot of favorite teachers, but I would have to say Ms. Tinsley, Mrs. Kratz, Mrs. Groat, Mrs. Schweizer, and Ms. Hubbs were some of my favorites. All of them taught me a lot and made me feel like a student AND a friend! Special shoutout to Mrs. Beach, even if she made us give our all in gym class.”

Advice to incoming sophomores:

“Be open-minded. If there is a club you want to join, join it! If you want to try out for a sport, try out! If there is a class you want to take, take it! And please, don’t plan to do everything with your friends. If it happens, it happens, but it’s good to try things for yourself by yourself! Put yourself out there. But also remember, while it’s good to have a plan, don’t get too caught up in it. Sometimes you have to let everything fall into its place.”

To the class of 2022, I leave…

“Good vibes and an exciting senior year.”
