Casey Brennan-SGA Treasurer Candidate

Why are you running for Treasurer?

“I am running for Treasurer because I have countless fundraising ideas that will benefit both the school and the student body. I would also like to make a meaningful contribution to Student Government through my academic and leadership skills.”

What qualities do you possess that make you the best candidate?

“I deserve the vote of my peers because I am a very well-rounded student and can connect with many different groups of people. I am extremely hardworking and take high-level classes that I am able to easily balance with the other sports and clubs I am in. In contributing my academic and creative abilities as Treasurer to SGA, success will definitely follow.”

What is your favorite aspect of North Penn HS?

“My favorite aspect of North Penn HS is the pride that students feel to be a Knight. From standing in the student section at football games to walking down the hallway throughout a normal school day, the energy and pride given off by students is what truly makes our high school so special. After graduating from North Penn students can definitely agree that “once a knight, always a knight.”

If you could improve one thing about North Penn HS, what would it be and why?

“If I could improve one thing about North Penn HS it would be to increase the opportunity students have in standing out from their peers. Since NP is such a large school, it is easy for students and their contributions to get lost in the sea of people that makes it up. Although the high school has a wide range of sports, clubs, and activities to participate in, there are only so many starting spots on a team or leadership opportunities in clubs.”

What have you learned about yourself during our shutdown?

“During the shutdown, I have learned that I thrive under the fast-moving pace of life. Being at school every day, going class to class, and having the same daily routine keeps me organized and motivated. In having that pace be completely flipped upside down, I found that it has been harder to stay focused and motivated at home and that I have had to create my own schedule to stay engaged.”

How would you describe your style of leadership?

“My style of leadership is very democratic in that I listen to others with no judgement and try to make the fairest decisions in response.”
