Rubins is excited to attend Franklin & Marshall College, where she will study government and psychology with the hopes of reforming the criminal justice system.

Senior Spotlight: Rachel Rubins

Future plans:

“I’m going to Franklin & Marshall College to hopefully major in government and psychology. My goal is to become a forensic psychologist or to go to law school, for the reasons of being a victim advocate and reforming the criminal justice system.”

Favorite NPHS memory:

“My favorite memory at North Penn was definitely watching the club Divya Sood and I started, North Penn Democrats’ Club, become what it is today. We started as a club with three people, to a club with dedicated members and high profile speakers.”

Favorite classes:

“My favorite class was definitely AP European History with Mr. Lorandeau which I took my junior year. I didn’t think you could learn so much while also laughing! I also would love to mention AP English Language with Mrs. Kratz because it made me such a better writer.”

Favorite teacher:

“A few would be Mrs. Vervoort, Mrs. Kratz, Mr. Lorandeau, Dr.Hall, Mrs. Felder, Ms. Dixon, Mr. Shea, Mr. Henry, Mrs. Schweizer, Mr. Haley, Mr. Brumbaugh and so many more that I’m forgetting. I have had so many amazing teachers at North Penn High School. Everyone has been so understanding. It’s way too hard for me to pick just one!”

Advice to incoming sophomores:

“Don’t be afraid to become close with teachers. They have so much wisdom and experience and they are there for you. Also, if you want to do something, try. North Penn has tons of possible opportunities, so do not be afraid to use your voice!”

To the Class of 2021 I leave…

“A senior year like no other. And hopefully hand sanitizer.”
