Senior Spotlight: Katie Early
Future plans:
“I’ve always wanted to just help people, so when the basketball coach from DeSales reached out and I saw their psychology program, I was sold. I will be attending DeSales University next year to major in Clinical Psychology and minor in Creative Writing. Hopefully after that I will go back to school to get my Master’s and someday be able to own my own practice.”
Favorite NPHS memory:
“My favorite memory is probably Mini-Thon last year or the football games. Junior prom was pretty fun too.”
Favorite teacher:
“That is SUPER difficult to answer because so many teachers have positively influenced me throughout my years at North Penn. My favorite teacher would have to be Ms. Anthony. She sent me a letter when I found out I had to get shoulder surgery, whenever she sees me in the hallway it’s like no time has passed and I feel like I could talk to her about anything. “
Advice to incoming sophomores:
“A lot of people would probably tell you to not take your time for granted because it goes by so quickly, and while this is true — we always end up doing that anyway. I think my best advice to incoming sophomores is try to be true to yourself as often as you can. Step out of your comfort zone, be proud of your work, don’t try to be someone you’re not. I would tell you that the best way to live, or the best way to face hard decisions and obstacles is to be 100% yourself, and I guarantee you will come out of high school with no regrets.”
To the Class of 2021 I leave:
“Lots of broken hair ties…oops.”
