Senior Spotlight: Sally Meyers
Future Plans:
“I plan to attend Widener University, where I will be swimming and studying biology on a pre-physical therapy track.”
Favorite NPHS Memory:
“One time at morning swim practice, my coach told us that if we made snow angels, we could choose our own practice. A group of us ran outside in our suits to lay in the snow.”
Favorite Classes:
“I took Creative Writing my sophomore year and it was one of the best classes I’ve ever taken. It taught me so much about who I am as a writer. Senior year, I took Women’s Voices and it was such a fun class. We sat in circles most days and talked about the books and our lives. The entire class was very close with each other.”
Favorite Teachers:
“I admire Mrs. Wright so much. She has taught me many non-math related lessons. I will always remember the quote “grit and perseverance” that was on her desk. I also went for help very often and she has never let me down once. Her constant reassurance that I am smarter than I know has helped to build me into who I am now.”
Advice to incoming sophomores:
“Never be afraid to ask for help. Whether it is help from teachers or your friends, always reach out when you need it.”
To the Class of 2021 I leave…
“A new football stadium.”
