“Frozen 2” Review

Following the first movie almost exactly 6 years ago, “Frozen 2” did not melt under pressure as it is already dominating the box office this holiday season.

Written and directed by Jennifer Lee, Allison Schroeder, and Chris Buck, Frozen 2 follows the journey of sisters Elsa and Anna of Arandelle on their journey to save their kingdom accompanied by their friends Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven. After being crowned the queen of Arendelle, Elsa is put in charge to run the kingdom her father left behind.

In the midst of running the kingdom, Elsa is being called to by an unknown voice coming from the enchanted forest that holds all the secrets in the film.  The film holds a lot of adventure and thrill even for being an animated story. Following the first film back in 2013, the second film provided strong character development and showed the advancement of the two sisters’ relationship.

Even though the Frozen series seems tailored for a younger audience, it still made me and my friends laugh, sing, and cry as 18 year-olds. Not to mention, the soundtrack has been stuck in our heads the minute we left the theater.

The movie, only being an hour and forty-five minutes, was filled with an interesting story plot filled with turns and twists that had the audience on the edge of their seats.

Anyone who loves Disney, singing snowmen, or great stories will love “Frozen 2” and find it very entertaining.

And who knows….afterwards, you may just want to build a snowman.
