One-on-one with Mikaela Mosley:
What do you miss about high school?
“The simplicity of it all.”
What’s your favorite part about college?
“Attending a historically black college. Every day I am surrounded by a diverse set of innovative intellectuals from around the world. I attend Howard University in the heart of DC so it isn’t uncommon to see a celebrity or public figure visit or hold lectures on our campus. Also, being in the capital allows for a lot of opportunities to present themselves.”
Do you have any advice for high school students?
“Really use this time to find out what you are passionate about. Try new things. Start networking. If you have just a little interest in anything, take the course. Explore your interests while tuition is still free.”
