Artist Spotlight- Brittany Crosson
Brittany Crosson, Animation 2
Title of Artwork:
Holiday Card
Inspiration:
“I didn’t want to do something holiday specific, because I wanted it to include everyone, and I thought that doing a more winter-esque theme would be a lot more suiting. I’ve always loved polar bears growing up, and I wanted to incorporate that. I also put in the Northern Lights to bring out the beauty of the piece.”
What inspires you?
“My friends inspire me a lot. They are very supportive, and I feel like I go on everyday because of them. They have always just been there for me, and I draw a lot of my inspiration from them whether it is from their ideas or from their actions.”
What does art mean to you?
“Art is a way to express yourself and to truly be who you are. You don’t have to be good at art in order to make art I think. If you call yourself an artist, then you’re an artist.”
