TOWAMENCIN- Now that the holiday season has come to a close, many people are so depleted from shopping, eating cookies, and being with friends and family that they forget about all the other upcoming holidays. Though it is not a major holiday, Valentine’s Day is still a time to celebrate the special people in your life.
Yet, not everyone gets a card or a box of chocolates on Valentines Day. On Thursday January 19th, the Key Club will be making valentines for children enrolled in the Angel Hugs for Childhood Cancer program so that each child can receive something special for Valentine’s Day.
Angel Hugs for Childhood Caner is an organization that gives children something special to make them forget for a small amount of time that they are sick, and to brighten their day after being poked and prodded in the hospital.
However, due of budget cuts, Angel Hugs for Childhood Cancer cannot afford to make each child valentines for the holiday, and instead, are asking for donations of cards to brighten each child’s day.
If interested in making cards to donate to the Angel Hugs for Childhood Cancer organization, the Key Club will be making cards after school on January 19th in the Cookie Corner from 2:45 PM to 4:00 PM.
