What schools did you apply to?

Pitt, Temple, Bucknell, South Carolina, Delaware, Massachusetts Amherst, Penn State, Lafayette, and Ursinus.

Where did you commit to, and why?

I committed to Pitt because it was the overall best option for me! Along with a scholarship and honors college, the academics and school culture is such a good fit. Pitt offers so many opportunities to travel abroad, and try different classes and clubs. It is also in a city which I love, and I hope to use free public transportation and student pricing too!

What are your career/academic aspirations? 

I am studying business undeclared right now since we take the same general classes for the first three semesters. I hope to potentially minor in French, and choose my specific business major by the end of sophomore year. I’m unsure right now what my career will be but I hope to be working right out of college and maybe get my MBA. I also hope to do community service in my time not working or going to school.

What are you most excited about next year?

I am most excited next year to live independently and learn new things in a different way. So much of life after high school seems like a lot of self discipline, so I am looking forward to meeting people who can help me face that new change. Hopefully I can help them too!

What is your favorite North Penn memory?

My favorite North Penn memory has been being involved in the shows and events that theatre has had. Theatre takes up a large portion of my time at high school, and I have been able to meet my closest friends and make my best memories through it. I will never forget the first time I met each one of my friends through this, and the shows will be memories I cherish forever.
