What schools did you apply to?

I applied to UMD, UMich, Penn State, UConn, UDel, JMU, and Pitt.

Where did you commit to, and why?

I committed to Maryland (UMD) because I especially loved the viola teacher and the music education department. Each time I met with Dr. Kramp and the rest of the faculty, I could envision myself attending UMD more and more. I also love the atmosphere that a Big 10 like Maryland provides while also maintaining rigorous academics and high levels of achievement.

What are your career/academic aspirations?

I intend on studying music education with a focus on instrumental music at UMD. After graduation, I hope to find a job as a music teacher and have the opportunity to inspire the younger generations to love music just as much as I do.

What are you most excited about next year?

I’m most excited to meet a lot of new people and experience school in a new setting. I’m also super excited for football games (go Terps!) and to ghetto play and sing in UMD’s music ensembles!

What is your favorite North Penn memory?

My favorite North Penn memory has been performing in the spring musical each year. Every show that I’ve been in since 7th grade has had such a lasting impact on me and I have made so many amazing friendships along the way.
