With spring time upcoming, the birds chirping, the sun shining, and the end of the school year is in sight. This all means that prom season is in full swing. Junior prom just passed and now ticket sales are occurring for senior prom. Here’s everything you need to know about the class of 2025’s senior prom!

“This year’s senior prom is on May 10th from 6:30-10:30 pm at Drexelbrook Event Center,” class of 2025 vice president Meryame Hameg explained.

Drexelbrook is a beautiful venue located in Drexel Hill right off of 476 South. To be able to attend this exciting event you have to purchase a ticket this week before spring break starts on Friday.

“We are selling tickets during all lunch periods in the senior café until Friday, April 11th. Tickets are $80 and will not go up in price. We are not accepting credit cards, so buy tickets with cash or check. This week we will have select Knight Zone selling dates in Mr. Fluck’s activities office in the auditorium lobby on the 7th, 9th, and 11th of this week,” Hameg described.

The evening under the midnight sky is going to be the night of nights. And of course you’re able to bring guests inside and outside North Penn.

“If you want to bring a guest from outside the school, make sure to grab a guest form from senior home office K025, fill it out, and then return it to the home office. From there they will give you a slip and that’s what you will bring when you buy the tickets. If you are bringing a guest in a different grade, the senior has to buy the tickets under both people,” Hameg said.

Unlike junior prom, Senior prom follows a more structured and organized pattern. Students at this event sit at structured tables of twelve.

“There will be tables at prom that sit exactly 12 people so make sure you know who will be at the table. When you buy your tickets, coordinate with the people at your table about who is filling out the table form since there only needs to be one table form per table. This form confirms who is sitting at the table and what entrée they will be served at prom. Also, if you are bringing a guest whether they go or don’t go to North Penn, they have to sit at your table,” Hameg stated.

Additionally, unlike junior prom, dinner is served and there are some very yummy items on the menu.

“This year we will have our main chicken entrée of chicken parm and the vegan entree will be a vegan burrito bowl. We will also have an ice cream sundae bar and signature drinks. It’s going to be so much fun,” Hameg described.

Lastly, for those who have never attended a North Penn prom, expect an extremely magical evening. This is the final formal event before graduation, so all seniors are encouraged to participate.

“I think senior prom is like a last hurrah since it’s the last dance of our senior year and our time at North Penn. It’s a night to get all fancy and dressed up, hang out with your friends, and create so many new memories,” Hameg explained.

With a couple days left to purchase your ticket, you want to get on it ASAP so you don’t miss the night under the midnight sky and a “right of passage” as Hameg said.

“In my opinion, senior prom is a right of passage and a way to celebrate our senior year,” Hameg commented.
