Knights Next Quest: Kathryn Romanoski

Knights Next Quest: Kathryn Romanoski
  1. What schools did you apply to?

I applied to The College of New Jersey, Kutztown University, Saint Joseph’s University, Rider University, and West Chester University.

  1. Where did you commit to, and why?

I committed to West Chester University! I was definitely looking for a good teacher school and somewhere close to home also. I was neck and neck with TCNJ and West Chester. I ended up going to their open houses back to back weekends, West Chester first then TCNJ, and it really helped me choose West Chester. My mom is also an alumni there and she seemed really happy having one of her kids go there.

  1. What are your career/academic aspirations?

My dream career is to be a teacher. Although right now I’m unsure of what grade I want to teach, I have always loved math and history in school so I would love to teach that. Right now, I’m committed under middle grades preparation but I’ll see where the wind takes me.

  1. What are you most excited about next year?

Next year, I’m really excited for a fresh start. I’m looking forward to meeting new friends, being in a new setting, and starting classes that are focused on subjects I like. I’m really excited for the college experience that everyone loves and I hope I enjoy it just as much.

  1. What is your favorite North Penn memory?

My favorite North Penn memories are all my favorite classes over the years. 10th grade Spanish with Srta. Salnaitis, 10th (Mr. Henry), 11th (Mrs. Weizer) and 12th grade (Mr. Swindells) English classes, 11th grade Photo 1 with Mr. Raab, and 12th grade Government with Mr. Haley. These classes have all been very memorable and enjoyable to me in the past years. The people and the teachers left an impact on me that I will carry on into college.
