Gen Z is said to be the generation infected with the terrible disease of being chronically online. Teens are said to spend more time typing on their phones than going out and doing noncellular activities such as reading. While that might be true for some there is still a majority of teens who delve into the art of literature. Some of whom reside in our very own North Penn High School.

Q: What is your favorite book?
A: My favorite book is probably The Outsiders
Q: Why is that your favorite book?
A: It started as just summer reading but the story was really good and they went so much into depth with all the characters. You could relate to it because they were kids our age around our age who had a troubled upbringing and they kind of just had to find their way in life!
Q: What made you like to read?
A: I think I just realized that compared to watching a movie you could just read a book and kind of just interpret anything how you want to. You can make something look how you want it to.You can make characters speak how you want them to. It’s all under your control.

A: Currently, it’s from The Hunger Games series, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
Q: Why is that your favorite book?
A: I love The Hunger Games series so when this book was added I had to jump on it and read it right away before the movie came out and it’s just so good. It takes you back because it just lets you know more about President Snow and his early life.
Q: What sparked your passion for reading?
A: Honestly it was just like the different scenarios and things. You could dream of this different world to be in just by reading a book!
