Knights next quest: Liv McGuriman

Where did you apply?

“I applied to Mansfield University, Wilkes University, West Virginia University, University of Tennessee, and Kutztown University.”

Where have you been accepted?

“I was accepted to all of them.”

What is your top choice among schools where you have been accepted/are waiting to hear from and why?

“I decided to attend the University of Tennessee. I had visited all the schools I applied to and I liked them all, but when I visited Tennessee I fell in love with it. The people there were so nice and the campus was beautiful. I also felt really comfortable the second I got there. It seemed to be the only school that checked all the boxes for me. They put a strong emphasis on volunteering, sports, and being an active member in your community and school and I really liked that! I have also always loved the idea of going more south and for me, it’s far but not so far that if I really needed to I could always come home.”

What are your academic/career aspirations?

“I plan to major in Business Management and minor in Entrepreneurship if possible. I hope to get an internship early on during my time there so I have a stable job after college. After I learn the necessary skills and get a few years on the job I would love to use what I learned and open a small business of some sort. I think it would be great to manage and be the head of my own business and just watch it succeed. I am not sure exactly what I would like that business to be right now, but having a company of my own has always fascinated me.”
