Samuel Lee
Class of 2015 – Recording Secretary
Why are you running for office?
Being an active member of the SGA cabinet as an activities co-chair, It’s about time for me to step up. Using what I’ve learned this year about student government and this school, I want to be a leader and help in the betterment of this school. The Recording Secretary has the very important responsibility of providing a record of events and information and I believe that with my prior experience in the SGA Cabinet can aid me in my duties. The SGA has standards to uphold and I believe that I am one of few that can maintain them.
Why should we vote for you?
Without sounding like too much of a snob, I do believe that I possess certain qualities that qualify me for this position. I’m usually very approachable to my peers and providing a record for this school’s SGA is something that I can see myself successfully doing. As a soon to be senior and an activities co-chair for the SGA, I believe that I can fully lead my peers and assist in the administration or planning of school events. I may not be the smartest or come up with the best ideas, I can come to any event and do work. I’m a doer, and in the SGA, that is a very valuable quality when there are a lot of things to get done.
Campaign Slogan?
Considering that my last name Lee rhymes with Recording Secretary, I probably should have one but campaign slogans are often tacky so it’s not exactly my cup of tea.

Class of 2015 – Recording Secretary
Why are you running for office?
I am running for Recording Secretary because I want to be more involved at North Penn. Currently serving as SGA Historian, I have helped out with planning and organizing SGA events. Although I can’t say I’ve always been so involved at North Penn, the opportunity to be in the SGA cabinet this past year was pivotal in changing that for me. As a result, my desire to be more involved at North Penn and effectively see the results of school events has increased. Being Recording Secretary would create that opportunity for me to incorporate my free time and possibly new ideas for the student body to enjoy.

Having background knowledge as Secretary at my youth group, I already have experience which is an important aspect when considering my qualifications. Currently the SGA Historian, I have gained valuable understanding of this organization and the preparation of events. Experience is a vital facet if one wants to effectively lead a school, which I exemplify much of. I have been a dedicated member of SGA. Being in SGA cabinet, I have been to many of the meetings and have spent most of my free time with SGA related activities. For example, I even spent my whole weekend making the SGA scrapbook! Since I am a junior, it will be my last year here at North Penn, and I strive to make it one of the best and unforgettable years for not only my graduating class but also for the whole student body.
