Coming Soon: North Penn’s Production of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Knight”

O Romeo! O Romeo! Wherefore out thou Romeo?

Asleep yet? Well wake up and get a new spin on the old Shakespeare. Come out and see North Penn High School Theatre’s production of William Shakespeare’s “12th Night” from Thursday the 15th to Saturday the 17th at 7:00 p.m, or the a matinee presentation on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. If just reading the name of the famous playwright gives you a migraine, consider the fact that this Shakespeare production is a COMEDY. Most people don’t know that the dramatist wrote comedies–funny ones!  According to the producer and co-director of the show, the play has also been modernly adapted into a popular movie “She’s the Man”. So if you have enjoyed the movie, then you will most definitely enjoy the show. On the other hand, the play doesn’t have soccer, college or Amanda Bynes but the play does include pirates, gypsies, sword fights and love triangles which is just as, if not more appealing! According to cast members Sarah Stinson and Tucker Breder (who both play lead roles in the show), the show presents many characters who are recognizable to people today!
