Give new life to your old shoes by recycling them at NPHS Family and Consumer Sciences Department’s first ever shoe drive, happening NOW until October 26th.
Any type of wearable men’s, women’s, and kid’s shoes are acceptable. To keep the pairs together, tie the shoe laces together or connect with rubber bands or strings.Keep in mind that ski boots, heavy winter boots, roller skates/blades and ice skates, wet or mildewed shoes will not be taken. However, the shoes can be dirty.
The drop-off spots are located in all the Home Offices, FCS classrooms, and the K-pod reception office.
All the shoes collected will go to ShoeBox Recycling, a recycler organization in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, where they will be packed and shipped to needy individuals in different countries around the world instead of being dumped in landfills.
Recycle your unwanted shoes TODAY for a good cause! For more information, contact Mrs. Kathleen Noce in F129 or e-mail at [email protected], or visit ShoeBox Recycling on Facebook or Twitter.
