A new school year; a new morning show; and a new season of Dudes. There are four. That’s right, four. David Franco, Chris Depman, Paul Smith, and Ethan Tomko grace the comedic portion of North Penn’s weekly morning show with both excitement and confidence. Full of witty responses and ridiculous antics, the guys somehow managed to sit still long enough to give an exclusive interview to the Knight Crier.
KC: We noticed that Chris isn’t here for the interview, where is he?
Ethan: He had a prior commitment; he’s tearing up the carpet in his living room.
Paul: That actually sounds like a really great Dude Report.
KC: How long have you guys known you wanted to be Dudes?
Ethan: Since eighth grade…
David: (interrupting) No if you saw our first episode you would know that we were born Dudes!
Paul: How much are we being paid for this interview?
Ethan: Let me answer your question with another question, does the cat walk in the afternoon?
KC: If you could film the Dude Report anywhere, where would you film it?Paul: Lochness
Ethan: The back of a majestic unicorn
David: North Penn High School
KC: How long does it take to come up with and film an episode of the Dude Report?
David: How many hours are in a week?
Paul: Too long.
David: wait that’s 168 hours. Paul doesn’t even sleep.
Ethan: That’s actually true; Paul works an overnight shift and then comes straight to my house for filming afterwards. He’s up for like, thirty hours straight.
KC: Out of the four of you, who is the funniest?
David: I am.
Paul: I mean, we all have our moments.
Ethan: We all contribute something.
David: Chris shouldn’t even count; he doesn’t show up to anything.
Paul: Hey, a commitment to tearing up carpet is a commitment to tearing up carpet.
KC: What’s your favorite Dude Report from years past?
David: The camping episode from Mike and Grace.
Ethan: All of the Mike and Grace episodes.
Paul: All of them.
KC: What’s your goal for the Dude Report this year?
David: I’m inspired to make America proud.
Paul: Just to make people laugh with our pathetic humor.
Ethan: I made a commitment to try to be the best Dudes ever.
