Homecoming is a rite of passage in almost every high school across America. It marks the beginning of another school year, and the beginning of the cool autumn weather amidst many chilly Friday nights under the lights.
North Penn is certainly no exception, and although a student body of over 3,000 does not have a homecoming dance, it does holds another party that welcomes teens to a different way to enjoy their Friday nights together. SGA is holding their Second Annual Homecoming Pregame Party. Although students may have already had a taste of what the pregame party is comprised of, SGA wants everyone to know that it is new, and it is improved.
The Pregame party kicks off the Homecoming celebration with a combination of food, fun, and friends on Friday, October 5th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. For only twenty dollars, the Pregame Party ticket offers a perfect high school deal: a ticket to the homecoming game, a t-shirt, food, drink, and more. Additionally, the first 500 students to buy their tickets will receive a free rally towel.
Catering the event this year, Moe’s Southwest Grill will certainly capture everyone’s stomachs and as well as their taste buds. Each person has the option of two tacos (hard or soft shell) with chicken, beef, or black beans. Toppings for the tacos include cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. And for anyone who is still craving more Mexican food, unlimited chips and salsa is included.
SGA President Katie Marino is excited about the new changes to this year’s party, “Moe’s catered our Region F Conference last year and did an amazing job, so we are really excited for that!”
While spending the time with friends, students are invited to enjoy games and activities such as an inflatable obstacle course, corn hole, ladder ball, music, and much more.
“I think that students should come out because it is going to be such a fun time! SGA is really excited for it this year and we hope everyone else is too. I hope a lot of people come out for a fun time with good food and great friends leading up to the amazing homecoming football game,” says Marino.
At a school the size of North Penn, it’s nearly impossible not to get involved in something. This is a great opportunity to enjoy great food and to represent our Knights Blue Crew in the stands.
Tickets for the Homecoming Pregame Party can be purchased in the senior cafe every day during lunches this week until Friday, September 28th. Don’t miss out!
