TOWAMENCIN- Are you a fan of The Knight Crier? Do you consider yourself to be a good judge of talent? Is Simon Cowell your hero? Or, perhaps, are you more of a Paula Abdul fan? Either way, now is your chance to be a student-judge for your peers at the third annual, National Honor Society hosted, Mr. North Penn Competition on Friday, February 10 at 7pm in the auditorium.
Pairing up with the National Honor Society, the Knight Crier will bring this once in a lifetime opportunity to one male and one female student, randomly selected from a pool of all of those that participate.
Do you want to be considered for this honorable position? Well, you’re already half-way there by checking out the site. For each article you read and leave an insightful comment, your name will be entered in the drawing. Visit www.knightcrier.org between the contest dates of January 12 and January 27. Be sure to leave your full first and last name with each comment, as the number of times your name enters the drawing will be determined by the number of comments you leave.
NOTE TO STUDENTS: “Insightful comments,” call for something that adds to or supports the content of the article, not something like, “this is good.” The quality of your comments will be determined by the Knight Crier Staff, but this is not to suggest we want to see comments such as, “Yay! Maria Poccia is great!” (Although starting an insightful comment off that way is never hurts).

This contest is a two for one deal! You can advertise for Mr. North Penn and the Knight Crier.

Mr. North Penn is such an amazing night at north penn. being a judge would be amazing to judge the boys in every event. I think its great that they are allowing two students to be judges this year and I hope they do it in the future also.

I had never looked at the Knight Crier since it went online until I heard about this contest, but since visiting I have noticed how great of a job our student writers do putting this together. The contest is definitely a good way to get the site some well-deserved publicity.

I think this is a great way to introduce students to the new website and give them an easy fair way to become a judge for Mr.NP

I just love this idea, it gives kids a fair and euqall change to be participated in the always awesome Mr.North Penn. It’s not about who you know, how smart you are, how great of an athelete you are. It is fair and equal to all who chose to participate. Adding to the ever so competative nature of our North Penn Students.

I love this idea of getting people to read the Knight Crier. I’ve already read a lot of interesting articles that are posted on the front page. The slideshow I think is one of the best parts because I can go through it and sometimes see people I know.

I think this contest is a fantastic idea. Not only does it drawl more students into look at the new Knight Crier website, but it give students an opportuniy to particpate in school activities. By choosing a winner at random it makes more students want to submit an article knowing that they have a chance to win even though they may not be the best writer.

Wow, this is a stellar idea! I was bummed I didn’t sign up for the contest in time. Maybe I’ll get lucky this time around!

A cool and different way to participate in the contest! I read the articles here since the site came out and it’s a huge sucess. Can’t wait to see who the judges are.

I think it’s a good idea to make the contest random because then someone will not be chosen who favors one contestant over the others. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to get the Knight Crier a little publicity, too! I must admit this is the first time I’ve checked it out so far, but these articles are good. Our seniors are pretty good this year.
