Valentine’s Day might be months away, yet there is always time to make someone’s day a little brighter. That chance recently came to NPHS as the Key Club sponsored its annual Rose Sale on October 27th. These beautiful long stemmed roses from a local merchant were sold as singles for $2 or in a bouquet of a dozen for $18 during all lunch periods. A total of 15 dozen roses were sold and $300 was raised.
The Key Club saves $7 of every sale and the remainder of the proceeds goes to the Kiwanis Children’s Heart Program and scholarships for Key Club and Circle K. The Pennsylvania Kiwanis Foundation, created in1980, helps the Pennsylvania District of Kiwanis by organizing projects that can have more of an impact compared to just individual clubs.
