With new member applications in the process of being reviewed by the teachers committee, National Honor Society has a busy couple of weeks ahead of them.
“On October 25th we have our new member induction, so for the past few weeks we have been focusing on organizing applications and preparing for our new members” explained President Eileen Park.
Cabinet members Grace Ahn, Amanda Schwartz, and Maria Poccia, who are the co-chairs of the induction committee, have been organizing induction since the beginning of the school year.
“We are looking forward to having everything completed for induction once the new members are chosen” said Ahn.
Besides induction, NHS has other events in the school year that their cabinet has been working on.
“Coming up this winter, NHS is planning to host our 3rd annual Mr. North Penn,” said Park. “We’re currently still looking to find a service project to replace Special Olympics, which will be held sometime in the spring.”
The next NHS meeting will be on Wednesday October 12th at 7:00 pm in the Audion for current members.
