After an exciting trip last year to the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference hosted by the University of Pennsylvania, North Penn’s Model UN club has been working hard to plan for another conference this year.  

Led by senior President Meghana Deshmane and Vice President Kathleen Escarcha, Model UN recruited many new members at the activities fair that was held on September 13^th.

            “Many juniors and seniors that were not involved with the club last year signed up. We are really excited to see more people get involved that have an interest in international affairs,” explained Deshmane.

            The first meeting, which will be hosted on Thursday October 6^th in room E-8, will be a general informational meeting on the club and what the officers expect for the upcoming year. 

            “We have not decided on what conference we are attending this year, but we have discussed some exciting possibilities,” said Escarcha.  “Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we can decide.”
