Others to Watch: Jane Hallowell, Baillee Charles, Ava Domanico, Emily Eichner

Strengths: Many of the girls have flag experience from both school and travel teams.

Questions Marks: Quarterback position. We lost Brianna Shalinsky who was possibly one of the best QBs in PA. She has moved on to play in college. It looks like Tori Cavanaugh will get the start at the QB position and while she has practiced a ton in the off-season the real question is how she performs under the lights in pressure situations.

Outlook: I think defensively we should be pretty solid but on offense, we will need to find our identity. Will will have the same potent pass game as we did the previous two years or will we move to a short game and rushing attack with Tessa and Amani?

Games to Watch: Too soon to tell who the top teams will be. Every game should be exciting.

2025 OUTLOOK: Like every year, the Suburban One League will be highly competitive, and there is no game that will not present challenges. We will have to find ways to beat good pitching in our conference and will have to command the strike zone and stay away from free 90s. The new 3-games series will present an even more competitive conference.

ADDITIONAL KEYS: Following last season’s return to the Pennsylvania 6A State Tournament for the 3rd time in 4 seasons, the 2025 squad brings back many players with multiple years of experience in postseason play, and adds some exciting newcomers as well.  In addition to the returners listed above, the Knights look to get significant innings from Senior LHP Jake Duld, while senior RHP Caleb Price will also compete for key innings. Junior RHP Brighton Fontaine joins the Knights this season to add a big arm to the rotation,  while Junior Jase Hopwood brings depth behind the plate and in the lineup. Juniors Tyler Agriss and Brayden Underwood will compete for time at the corners, while a slew of sophomores including Chase Paskewich (INF) and Trey Brennan (RHP/OF) will aid the Knights in several areas. Freshman LHP/1B Grayson Fontaine will be a presence on the mound for the Knights while also providing a lot of potential pop at the plate. The season begins in Vero Beach, FL on March 13th, and the competitive schedule of non-league  games includes Hazleton Area, Spring-Ford, and Wilson, before opening the conference schedule on April 1. The 2025 season will be played in memory of longtime North Penn HS Athletic Director, Mr. Donald “Doc” Ryan.

Strengths for 2025:“We have a ton of lax IQ with our starters and along with our team motto of ‘better than yesterday’, this team has already demonstrated a full embrace of this improvement mindset.  The players have been able to extend on what is working and identify and work tirelessly to rectify any issues in gameplay.”

Question Marks: “There are no ‘gimmes’ on our schedule, so it’s imperative that every player approach every game with intensity, focus, and a desire to do everything they can to help their teammates find success.”

Outlook for 2025: “This team has demonstrated that they are excited and ready for the upcoming season. There is an edge, focus, and intensity that starts with our seniors, and has set the standard for what we hope will be a competitive and awesome 2025 season.”
