Erik Jesberger

Practice for the boys’ volleyball team as they prepare for their upcoming season.

Head Coach: Ryan Genova

Assistant Coaches: Tim Moyer, Kat Elchko, Scott Coles

Last Year: 12-8 (lost first round of 2018 District Playoffs)

Notable Losses: Deval Patel (Penn State) and Alex Stoler

Key Returners: Drew Coles (senior), Zach Jayes (senior), Michael Wang (senior), Kevin Abraham (senior), Isaac Lambert (senior), Evan Rothmann (junior)

Players to Watch for: Last year’s team co-MVPs Drew Coles (senior), Michael Wang (senior), Zach Jayes (senior)

Strengths: The team has five returning starters and adds a deep bench for a very talented group.  The coaching staff has remained the same for this group of athletes which should equate to high expectations and a fun season for both players and fans.

Weakness: Team chemistry will be the key to the 2019 boys volleyball team.  With the team having both on and off the court accountability, this group is talented enough to achieve the highest goals.

Outlook:The team looks to compete for a top spot in the conference and build on last year’s playoff experience.  Volleyball fans should make a point to experience this team in person,” Coach Genova said.
