TOWAMENCIN – The rain and thick humidity did not keep North Penn Boys’ soccer team (8-1-1) from winning 2-0 against Hatboro Horsham (4-5) this past Tuesday afternoon.

The Knights scored one goal each half, both by senior Liam Parker. The first goal was assisted by junior Nick Terchek to Parker, who scored the goal by a header. The second goal was hit into the far right corner of the goal to seal the win for North Penn.

Goals were attempted by junior Nate Baxter, senior Musa Sheriff, junior Kevin Seipt, and senior Matt Richardson. North Penn goalie, Jordan Katz, also made many amazing saves to help carry the Knights to a win.

The first part of the game contained a lot of suspense and hesitation by the Knights, but they overcame it quickly.

The Knights had been in control of the ball most of the first half, and most of the second half was the same. For the last 15 minutes of the game, North Penn was playing keep away and ended up letting in no goals.

Although one Hatboro Horsham player was injured early in the game, no other injuries were acquired, however, the elbows and shirt grabs were tossed around quite a bit. The referees called eight fouls against Hatboro, and seven against North Penn.

The boys JV soccer team also came out triumphant with a 3-1 win against Hatboro Horsham.

The Knights will take on Central Bucks South at Central Bucks South High School on Thu, October 01 at 7:00 PM.
