TOWAMENCIN – Leaving a successful, 10 win season behind them, the NPHS Girls’ Soccer team is looking forward to another improved year with many key players returning. With the players that already have tons of playoff experience is Coach Jim Dehner who has elevated this program to a contender in a tough division. With the likes of CB East and Pennridge looking for another successful year, the pressure is on.

Head Coach: Jim Dehner (6th year at NP)

Last Season’s Record: 10-6-2 (6-6-2 in Conf.)

Key Losses: Laura Leonard, Steph Bresadola, Marissa Brown

Key Players: Tina Miller (S), Hannah Alexander (S), Jani Johnston (S), Riley Houlihan (J), Anna Pedicorie (J), Marissa Werner (Fr)

Coach’s Quote: “Since we had ten wins last year, I would say our goal is to overachieve and get more than ten wins this year. We are in a very tough conference and division, so almost every game is like a playoff game in our mindset, and that will help us get set for the playoff. Going into the season, we have to be mentally and physically prepared.

Key Player Tina Miller’s Quote: “We have a really great group of girls this year and knowing that we have an older team, we all know how each other play so we mesh well together. I think that as long as we come out strong every game and leave everything on the field, we should be able to win, and hopefully go really far this season.”
