TOWAMENCIN – Heavy gusts of wind and a wet track didn’t slow down the North Penn Knights in their beatdown over the C.B East Patriots. The final result was a 113-37 victory for the Knights. From the sprints to the distance events, the track was owned by the Knights, sweeping many events and winning without some of their best runners in showing off their depth and strength. The Knights had many big performances including Ryan Grace’s 800m victory , Jordan Green’s sprints, Phil Mcginty’s winning shot put, and Joe LeConey and Tom Boyle going 1 and 2 in the mile.
“We are such a strong and deep team, we knew and trusted that the meet was over once Gineal Salonki and Pat Zancolli ran the hurdles. We got to have some fun doing different events but we didn’t take our opponents lightly,” stated senior Eric Rothenberger.
The Knights improve to 3-0 and still sit atop of their conference. The Knights have a fairly easy schedule for the remainder of the season leading up to leagues. Their next league meet is against Hatboro Horsham and should be a competitive one in the distance events.
“Hatboro should be fun, Ryan Grace versus Casey Comber in the two mile should be insane but other than that it should be all North Penn which is fine by me,” concluded senior Brian Piscatelli.
