Walking off the diamond at Penn State’s Medlar Field last June as Pennsylvania state champs, the North Penn Varsity baseball team reached the baseball pinnacle, and they are again looking to bring their A-game this season. Head coach Kevin Manero is eager for the talent from his players in each and every game to emerge. With new and old players in the starting lineup, the Knights will be a force to reckon with in a tough Continental Conference.

Coach Kevin Manero’s thoughts: “I think that we have a lot of guys who either emerged last year at the end of the season as key parts to the equation or we have some guys who are waiting in the wing and are watching what happened last year and can’t wait to have their opportunity to try to do some great things. We have the right attitudes, the right approach, I think, as a team, and most importantly, we have some very talented players.”
Pitcher Kellen Williamson: “We’re ready to win some games, and I’m also excited for the talent that is coming onto the team. I think we are going into the season with a pretty solid team this year. It’s looking great and I want to contribute by pitching well and helping the team out on the mound as well as I can.”
