After successfully climbing to second place in the Suburban One League, North Penn’s Tennis team is hopeful for the upcoming spring season. Although some of the important varsity players have graduated, including Mike Buxbaum, State Tennis Champion of 2013, returning players are optimistic about their chances in the league this year.

Key losses: Mike Buxbaum, Ethan Borochaner, Dan Tsai and Gabe Flores.
Key returners: Chris Mullen, Sam Curlee, Jeevan Probhakar, Tim Doerr, Howard Chu and Ryan Cox.
Key Matches: Tuesday, March 25 against Pennridge and Friday, March 28 against Central Bucks East.
What coach Watton said: “The team is in transition and we need to get better in every match. These two matches will determine our fate in the League. They come right in the beginning of the season and they are the 2 most difficult teams that we will play.”
What player Howard Chu said: “This year is a transitional year for North Penn High School’s varsity team. Although we lost former state champion, Michael Buxbum, we have several retuning key players…Most of these players have been on varsity for at least two years. This year’s main match is home against CB East. We seem to have a good chance of winning the league this year.”
Team motto: “Compete. Play out your best performance”
