TOWAMENCIN- On Tuesday night, the North Penn Knights (2-3) basketball team fell short of victory against the CB South Titians (3-2). The Titians would triumph on all sides of the ball which in return led to a 77-50 win over the Knights of North Penn.
The Titians out hustled the Knights early on and headed into the half with an 18 point lead over North Penn. The Knights then came out and have an impressive 3rd quarter cutting the deficit to 47-33
However the Titians’ Kevin Reymond and Matt Scamuffo was too much for the Knights defense to handle. The Titians quickly reacquired the momentum that North Penn had briefly stolen in the 3rd Quarter to put the game away and win 77-50
“It’s one of those things in basketball where you have to have a short memory. We did our best to battle back but it was just the continuous stream of mental mistakes that kept us from coming back. We must change the way we practice, Steph [Brown] and [Hakiem] Suleyman coming back will play a big part. Also as a team we have to make sure our hearts are in it and that we are focused mentally. Now it’s necessary for us to come back to next practice and start all over again,” Said Senior Captain Mike Swanson.
The Knights were without key players Stephen Brown (Senior) and Hakiem Suleyman (Junior). After a tough loss to conference rivals Souderton (3-2) and CB South (3-2) North Penn seeks to claim a conference victory this Friday against CB East (3-2) after a (0-2) conference start.
