BUCKINGHAM- Tuesday’s girls swim meet, which was supposed to be the last home meet as well as senior night, was relocated to CB East. Nonetheless, the Maiden’s slid past CB East’s patriots with a score of 98-88, completing their regular season with an undefeated record of 10-0 (7-0 in the league).
“It wasn’t our best performance, but the Maidens’ team spirit and pride helped us to win the meet,” said junior Brittney Patterson.
Individual winners including Tara Rogers, 100 free; and Brooke Else; 100 fly, carried the Maidens to their nail-biting victory.
“It’s great that we won the meet, but we could have done a little better. We still have some work to do before districts,” said Tess O’Neill, the Maiden’s manager.
The girls swim team will continue to work hard and maintain high intensity at practices as they carry on their journey to become repeat state champions. Their final non-league meet before districts is February 14th at Emmaus, one of their toughest rivals.
