Although Philadelphia is portrayed as crime-ridden and dangerous, Temple University’s campus offers a safe haven to its more than 24,000 full time undergraduate students. The University has taken cautious measures in securing the safety of its staff and students by employing trained officers to patrol the campus and quite literally brightening the atmosphere- putting up more than a thousand lights around campus.
And while some people may shy away from North Philadelphia’s beacon of light because of the possibility of danger, some are attracted to it because of its convenient location to the city’s landmarks. Temple sits only 1.5 miles away from Center City and eight to nine miles away from South Philadelphia’s Sports Complex, both a train ride away.
The short distance to some of Philadelphia’s main attractions certainly isn’t the only good thing about the school. Temple’s Fox School of Business was ranked number seventeen in the United States for its Executive MBA program, and it’s Mass Media and Communication doctoral program has been ranked among the top ten of these kinds of programs in the nation. While Temple offers impressive Business and Communications programs, its most competitive program is Nursing.
Although some High School Seniors have already started showing signs of severe cases of Senioritis, keeping up grades is helpful when applying to colleges, because many Universities, like Temple, place a lot of emphasis on GPA.
Overall, Temple has good academic opportunities, and it seems almost impossible to be bored in Philadelphia. If you would like to live in the city, and if you don’t particularly like grass- or trees- or any kind of shrubbery, for that matter- then Temple is a good fit for you.

This is a well written article and all of your points are great, but there is a lot more to Temple University than just the safety aspect.
