Prom-prosal from Mr. Gillespie’s 5th period
Once upon a time in English class, there was a student, let’s call her S., who wanted desperately to go to her senior prom with her boyfriend. She had sugary inspiration: she would use her boyfriend’s notorious sweet-tooth to make an unforgettable prom-posal.
Unfortunately, S. comes from a very strict family and is not allowed to have a boyfriend. Faced with an impossible dilemma, she decided to talk to her English teacher, Mr. Gillespie, who is always reading love poems in class and handing out lollipops. As she was telling him about her secret relationship, her classmates couldn’t help but overhear her.
They offered to help her put the whole thing together (in secret of course!) and decided to pitch in by getting supplies. The next day, Celso Leite, brought in poster board, another student Emily Jordan, bought bags of candy, and Amanda Kloth, with her perfect handwriting, wrote the prom-posal on the poster board. The mysterious S. had already written out her message what was going to be the poster and after the English class helped put it together, she prom-posed to her man after school. He said yes of course, because who would say no to all that candy?
