WHO? North Penn High School students involved in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) club
WHAT? North Penn High School students involved with the AFJORTC will be helping at a local Boy Scout event. They will be busy setting up for various activities, posting colors for opening ceremonies, preparing lunches, acting as extra chaperones, teaching classes on flag etiquette and Color Guard and helping clean up after the event.
WHEN/WHERE? The North Penn High School AFJROTC members will be helping at the local Boy Scout on Saturday, November 5th from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pennbrook Middle School, located at 1201 North Wales Road in North Wales.
DETAILS? The objectives of JROTC are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals. The AFJROTC program is grounded in the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. The curriculum emphasizes the Air Force heritage and traditions, the development of flight, applied flight sciences, military aerospace policies, and space exploration.
