A new Raising Cane’s opened on Tuesday, February 11th in North Wales. The American fast food restaurant chain is best known for their chicken fingers and famous Cane’s sauce. Overall, I didn’t think the food was amazing but it was definitely better than mid: a sweet spot in the middle.
To start the review, we are going to talk about the atmosphere, which was really great. The grand opening featured an outdoor DJ that played music outside that kept the customers entertained while waiting in the outdoor line. Also, waiting at the door was a Cane’s employee that welcomed you in and gave everyone a special Cane’s chapstick, titled “lip sauce.” All together, the atmosphere was a 10/10.

Next, we will talk about the food. I got the box combo which came with 4 chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, a Cane’s sauce, Texas toast, coleslaw, and a fountain drink. The chicken fingers were pretty underwhelming. They weren’t bad but I was definitely expecting more. The crinkle fries however were very good. I’m normally not a big fan of crinkle fries fan but these ones were very good.
Don’t even get me started on the Cane’s sauce. It was one of the best condiments I have ever tried. It enhanced the flavor of the fries and chicken and made it 10 times better. Next was the coleslaw. It was my first time ever trying coleslaw, and I will never ever try it again. It might have been the worst thing I have ever tasted in my entire life. I don’t know if it’s just coleslaw I don’t like or if it was Cane’s that was so bad, but I would not recommend it to anyone. The combo box also came with a piece of toast. It was toasted perfectly and was a great piece of bread. The meal came with a 22 ounce fountain drink and I got a sweet tea. It was one of the best sweet teas I have ever had. The ice was also amazing. It was pebble ice but it was tinier than normal which made it even better.
All in all, I would rate Raising Cane’s a 7.5/10. I would definitely go again but I wouldn’t put it at the top of my favorite fast food places. I think that it is extremely hyped up which created a high expectation that was not met. But if it received a normal amount of hype it would have met the expectation.
