#MAGA Rally changed my life
LYCOMING COUNTY- On Monday, May 20th, 2019, I drove two and a half hours to the beautiful town of Williamsport, in hopes of seeing our President, Donald J. Trump, speak in person. I arrived at the Lycoming Mall around 5:00pm, where I was bussed over to the Williamsport Regional Airport, the location of Trump’s speech. I stepped off of the bus, only to be greeted with a line of thousands of patriotic people, all waiting to see our President land and discuss what excellent shape our country is in due to his administration. I stood in line for about an hour and a half – so at this point I have spent four hours of my day for just a chance to get in. At the end of this four hour wait, it was all worth it.
After hours of standing in line, socializing, and discussing numerous policies with the people I stood in line with, I finally got in. Inside were thousands of people wearing red hats, thousands of people chanting “USA, USA, USA,” and thousands of people who were just like me.
As a high school Trump supporter, I am not used to fitting in when it comes to politics, so this rally was a nice change. Here, people agreed with me regarding numerous topics – something I am unfamiliar with. Back at North Penn, I seem to be in the minority when it comes to specific concepts…take the wall for example. Trump’s MAGA Rally in Lycoming County gave me the chance to appreciate my opinions, as the vast majority who attended were pleased to see a younger Republican with such pronounced views.
All throughout his speech, cheering filled the hanger, putting a smile on my face, along with the others in attendance. I finally felt like having views different from those around me was being appreciated and recognized. I was praised for my Trump gear, I was praised for being pro-life, and overall, I was praised for being politically active at such a young age. Again, this was something that was abnormal from my daily life.
At the end of the day, the eight or so hours I spent making this happen for myself were completely worth it. Not only did I see the President of the United States, but thousands of people who envision a time where America is put first. If you are a Trump supporter, Republican, or even neither, I recommend attending a Trump Rally. It opened my eyes and I am sure it will have a similar effect on you. Just make sure to get there early, because he puts on a good show, drawing in thousands.
