Obama Again? Yes.
Mitt Romney previously considered himself progressive, but currently
swears he is “severely conservative.” He derides Barack Obama’s affordable care
act, referring to it as “Obamacare,” yet Obama’s act was based off of Romney’s
health care law that he introduced in Massachusetts. With the upcoming
election, people have to start thinking: does anyone really want a president who
can’t make up his mind? America needs someone who is more assertive in the
decisions he makes. That is exactly the reason why we need Barack Obama.
The critics of Obama tend to blame him for things such as
the economy, the national budget, the amount of debt America has, various wars
we have been involved in, and more. However, most of these arguments are about
things that were here before Obama became President and will most likely be
here long after he is gone. He is doing his best to bring whatever change he
can to the United States to make it better, but he is only human and cannot
change the world in only a few short years.
Barack Obama has done his best to try to turn around the
economy while keeping the deficit low and making sure the debt doesn’t continue
to pile up. He has created over 2.1 million jobs since December 31, 2009 with
the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. He has turned around a downward-spiraling
stock market since January of 2009. He also believes in making the wealthier or
“better-off” citizens pay their fair share of taxes and not leave that heavier
burden on those who cannot afford it.
Obama also proposed the Affordable Care Act and had Congress
investigate all health care companies that were trying to raise premiums without
explanation. He made sure that all Americans who were laid off from their jobs
received emergency health care so they wouldn’t have to do without until they
found another job.
Obama continues to show that he is worthy of re-election
with his success in the “war on terror” even though Republicans like to argue
that Obama and Democrats in general are weak on national security. This “war”
and his plans to end the war in Iraq proved them wrong. Republicans trying to
tear Obama down say that he “apologized for America” when in actuality, he only
tried to separate himself from the Bush administration and the mistakes they
made. He has promised to do better, and he has tried his hardest.
Obama has done all of this and more with his “dysfunctional
Congress.” If reelected, he won’t have to worry about another election because
he is ineligible for another term. This means that he will be able to get even
more done for this country because he won’t have to worry about stepping on
other people’s toes to get what he wants done.
So when you go to vote this coming November, think about who
will be the best choice to run this country for the next four years. The answer
to this question should be Barack Obama.
