LANSDALE – April’s work session was held at the North Penn School District Educational Center on Tuesday, April 8th.

During public comment, residents continued to bring up concerns regarding DEI policies and progress in the district.

The board approved the recommendation of the attached MCIU 2025-26 Intergovernmental Agreement for Shared Services to be addressed at the April Action Meeting.

There was no new business brought to this work session and all items of the Superintendent Report were approved, one of which being the election of two new members to the school board, Mrs. Tara BG Houser and Mrs. Joanna Chavez.

Upon being approved, Mrs. Houser is filling the vacancy left by Ronald Linke’s resignation as the non-member Treasurer of the North Penn Board of School Directors. Mrs. Chavez is filling the position as Secretary to the Board of School Directors, a vacancy that was left by the retirement of former Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Steve Scrocki. Both of these are effective immediately.

Other items approved consisted of the traffic study on Sumneytown Pike and Valley Forge Road, M&T Bank being appointed North Penn’s Paying Agent for the upcoming 2025 GO Bond issuance, contracts, and the final approval of the 25-28 Comprehensive Plan. When viewing the Comprehensive Plan, it is important to compare the presentation from a few meetings ago, which is linked above, and the document that is posted on BoardDocs as the slideshow provides more in depth information regarding the wording used in the portal report document.

All information regarding these items and future meeting dates can be found on BoardDocs
